Pride At Work
Washington, D.C., Chapter
PAW-DC News
Pride At Work members, supporters, and their family and co-workers are
encouraged to contact their Representatives and Senators regarding the
attack on civil and workers' rights being conducted at the federal
Office of Special Counsel by calling the Congressional switchboard at
(202) 224-3121 and asking for their member by name [Calls and visits to
local offices are also valuable.]. Pride At Work-DC recently
sent a letter to
key oversight committee members in both chambers protesting Special
Counsel Scott Bloch's
continued abuses and urging his immediate removal.
On May 9, 2007, Senator Daniel Akaka and Representative Henry Waxman
introduced federal
legislation to reverse
Bloch's ravages on non-discrimination policy.
Their bills would restore protection on the basis of sexual orientation
for all federal workers. Please
lend your support
so that this crucial bill becomes law.
